pet Death doula
Fortunately or unfortunately, I have been called to hold & support the liminal space for our beloved animal friends, fur babies, pets, best friends.
Wolves, of course were my catapult of learning to sit in the depths of death. Watching Chance(the wolf in the photo) slip through his earthly existence into the space of the unknown was my first initiation. In the last 10 years, I have created & implemented numerous end-of-life protocols, supported others to go through the process, held ceremony during & after the animals passing, sat in, through and processed much grief, including my own.
My personal dog’s deaths, I thought were going to kill me too. When I lost them, I lost myself too. Losing our pets is one of the hardest things we can go through. I brought home a hospice cat in February of 2024. I thought she had 1-4 weeks at best but she lived 5 months with us! After the first 7 days of being on a consistent, life affirming plan, she thrived!
From daily IV fluids, injections, round the clock eyedrops, 3-4 meals a day, meal changes, daily prescription medication, amputations, eye surgery, supportive supplements, daily exercise, cremations, burials, memorials, I’ve experienced so much and I’m here to support you through it too.
This is for you if :
Talking to, understanding, processing & remembering information from your veterinarian is overwhelming. You think having someone else to talk it through with would be beneficial.
Coming up with a supportive, daily routine for you and your pet doesn’t feel doable.
You don’t know where to start.
You want someone to hold your hand through the process of planning and letting go.
You’re concerned about the actual day your pet passes whether that’s scheduled at the vet, at home or unexpectedly.
Benefits of having a Pet Death Doula :
Less stress - having someone to talk through all the information from the vet with, can help you gain insight into making a clear, informed decision for you and your pet without so much pressure.
Clear Guidance - receive clear guidance on how to create a new routine that supports both you and your aging beloved. Including how and when to exercise your pet, what foods could be supportive and creative solutions to any obstacles you may anticipate.
Receive Ayurvedic suggestions and support for you and your pet
Support to listen to your pets communication, interpret their behavior, the signs they may be showing and knowing when it’s time to pivot in care or let them go.

Every clients and pets needs are different and we will take this a day at a time if that’s what’s needed. This is an offering from my heart and currently a pay what you can service.
